Deb Hockenberry

Deb Hockenberry has always wanted to write stories for children. After taking several courses from The Institute of Children’s Literature, she wrote, Where Can We Have The Party? which won a bronze digibadge in 2018 for the cover art. She won honorable mention for A Hungle Bungle Jungle in the Jory Sherman Short Story Awards!

In her spare time, Deb loves to crochet, knit, and just like you, she loves to go to parties.

Deb currently shares an apartment with Harry the cat, in Central Pennsylvania.

Mandy Dawson Farmer

Mandy is a pastor’s wife and author. Mandy gained her bachelor’s degree at Asbury University. And although she had vowed to never be a wife of a farmer or a pastor, she married Pastor Farmer!

While serving as a pastor’s wife, Mandy found working with children to be her greatest joy. Mandy also homeschooled her children. Mandy also ministers to women with chronic illness with severe pain.

Mandy and husband, Michael live in Savannah, Georgia near their 4 adult children and one grandson. When not at the computer, you will find Mandy singing and playing the piano or creating greeting cards with her friends.

Jackie Nix is the Moo Maven!

Jackie Nix is the founder of Moo Maven and the independent author and illustrator of Modern Farms, her first children’s book. Even though Jackie is the daughter of a coal miner, she grew up in rural eastern Ohio surrounded by farms, where she fell in love with agriculture and livestock. She went on to get her B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and a M.S. in Animal Science from Clemson. With a long and diverse career as an animal nutritionist and a county Ag Extension Agent, Jackie now wants to share her love and fascination through her writing and artistic talents, creating books children will love, all about agriculture. Her Modern Farms book has won multiple awards.
