ABOUT the AUTHOR

Award winning author, Dayna Ault, began writing before the days of computers, when “cut and paste” was accomplished with scissors and glue. For more than forty years she freelanced for magazines, religious and parenting materials, curriculum and newsletters.

After a brief time of pastoral ministry, she and her family joined the Mennonite church. While there, her children’s book, Benjamin’s Coin Purse was published by Rod &: Staff Publishers, Crocket, KY, 2001, first in English, then in Spanish.

Her family moved often, eventually circling back to her home state of Missouri, to a house her father built. Shortly after, her eighth child was welcomed into the world.

In 2006, she began a new adventure as a single mom. Using her writing experience, she worked briefly for a newspaper, then aquired a homespun newsletter, quickly increasing the readership and turning it into a monthly magazine. For seven years, she wrote, edited, and published the Missouri Autism Report (MAR) Magazine which was distributed state-wide.

Now, with eight adult children and 16 grandchildren, she is doing what she loves: writing books and helping other authors in their journey, through her Kidlit Connect online critique group. By special request, she has also revived her editing services (see editing below).
